Tonight, I was skunked. 🙁 But it was still a very productive night to me because I sat in one of our new stands for the first time so I was able to test it out, seeing how comfortable it is to me. This is definitely one of my favorite setups now.

Why I didn’t see anything tonight is my own fault. It was the same stand my brother shot his buck the night before, so I didn’t give it enough time. There was another buck with his though and we believe this is more of a “daytime hangout” spot, so we thought it was possible that we didn’t effect the deer much since we entered at night to recover the buck and I wanted to check it out if bucks any other were possibly cruising through now. Obviously, I was wrong, but now I know the stand, so I am going to let it sit (with a trail camera keeping watch for me) and can’t wait to get back into it later in the season! I’m very excited about this one!
